Board of
Education Standards of Practice
1. We will communicate effectively with each other and with the
community in an honest, respectful, and confident manner.
2. We will listen to each other and disagree fairly and openly.
3. We will respect and support decisions of the
Board/Superintendent.
4. We will not act independently and will follow the chain of
command.
5. We will set goals, develop indicators of success and monitor
and evaluate school progress.
6. We will encourage vigorous and thoughtful dialogue on
educational issues.
7. We will focus decisions on students.
8. We will develop a shared common vision.
