Education
In 2000, I received my Bachelor in
Science Degree from Central Michigan University. My major is in
special education, with a minor in reading. I also completed my
Master's degree from Grand Valley State University in 2006 with
a focus on early childhood education.
Experience
This is
my 10th year teaching. I have taught a wide range of grades and
subject areas. My experience includes everything from
kindergarten to 12th grade. Needless to say, I have had a
wonderful opportunity to learn much about students at every
level! I am very excited to begin my fifth year teaching
kindergarten! In addition to my teaching, I also have
experience working as a reading intern, at day camps, tutoring,
and other various educational experiences. Currently, I also
teach some early childhood courses at Cornerstone University.
Family
My
husband and I have three beautiful children. Trevor is eight
years old, Dylan is seven years old, and Jaley is five years old
.All three are Norsemen too! Having two boys and one girl has
been a true blessing to our family. We also have two dogs named
Jasmine and Brady. They have been a fun addition to our
family. Along with my children, I have four sisters and one
brother. Some of my favorite times are just hanging out with
the family!
Activities/Hobbies
I spend
most of my time staying busy with my family. My three children
are young and very active! In addition to spending time with my
family, I love to rollerblade and go for bike rides. I just
starting to pick up jogging. While I do not have much speed or
endurance quite yet, I am having fun giving it a try. When I am
not staying active with family, I enjoy sitting down and reading
a good book or working on family scrapbooks.
